At RbC we believe excellent professional counseling is one of the greatest needs in our community. We understand that a combination of spiritual care and mental wellbeing is integral in equipping people to discover freedom, healing, and wholeness. In response to an immense need, RbC is grateful to be collaborating with several trusted counseling groups in our area. In an effort to make this vital resource accessible to those in need, we have established the RbC Counseling Fund, offering financial assistance to individuals and couples who have utilized Stephens Ministry or have met with a pastor and have been identified as needing further counseling services.
Policy
• A pastor will meet with each individual/couple to determine financial need and establish a support agreement, which will include the amount and number of sessions eligible, typically up to $1000
• While the amount of assistance may vary from RbC, the client will always pay some of the fee themselves
• We encourage individuals to utilize their personal medical insurance when available. RbC can assist with co-pays if necessary
• Alternatively, RbC can reimburse individuals/couples who “self-pay” for counseling serves. The client(s) will submit a receipt/Super-bill for services on a monthly basis
• While reimbursement is our preferred method of financial assistance, we also recognize there are situations where self-payment is not a viable option. In these cases RbC can agree to pay the counseling group directly for their agreed upon portion of the counseling fee
• This financial agreement is HIPPAA-protected information. The relationship between an RbC member and their counselor is a confidential one, and only the RbC pastoral reference and bookkeeping representative will be aware of the financial agreement between the RbC member and the church concerning funds for counseling.
